Great Big Wobbly Dangly Whotsits + Iran

Wed Jun 17, 2009, 8:07 PM

If there is one person or more on your friends list who makes your world a better place just because they exist, and who you would not have met (in real life or not) without the Internet, then post this same sentence in your journal.

[[EDIT - If you've been following the Iran conflict, take a look at [link] . She has some good ideas, with regards to setting up proxy servers and the like. Feel free to note her if you're interested.

Plus, she is nifty. ]]

HA HA HA I FOOLED YOU ALL. Really this is a journal testing the waters for commissions. I’m in pretty tight straits, financially, and would dearly love to make some money – partially for myself but mostly to help out the people who are so generously letting me stay with them.

I was thinkin’ along the following lines:

-$5 base price for an inked lines, one character, no background; add $2.50 per figure for additional characters, and $2.50 for a simple background, as in “You Can’t go Back”, $5.00 for a complex one, as in “The Ringmaster”.

- $10 for an inked drawing with simple pencil colouring, as seen in “Birdhouse in your Soul.” Add $5 per additional character, another $5 for simple background, and $10 for complex background.

- $15 for inked drawing with plain marker colouring, as seen in “Effervesce” and the 3 before it. I know this seems like a lot but I use copics and prismas and those suckers are expensive. Mind you this is not flat colouring; there WILL be shading, it just won’t be extraordinarily complex. $7 per additional character/simple background, $15 for complex background.

- $30 for inked drawing with complex mixed-media colouring, as seen in “Crimson,” “Thin Bright Line,” and “The Ringmaster.” $15 per additional character/simple background, $30 for fancy background.

:iconstrangerofthespork: is taking commissions, too. She does fan-fucking-tastic abstract work as well as tribal type tattoos. So, for that matter, is jeweler :iconattackfish:. Go give them love!

- 25% off if you order 3 or more! Woo, I are salesperson.

EDIT: I'll be accepting payment when I show you a sketch - this way you can make sure I'm doing something you like and I can be sure you'll pay me.

Also, though this hasn't come up, just to get it out of the way:

I will not draw porn of any character I'm not familiar with.

I will not draw any of my characters in a position I deem compromising unless I know you.

I will not, will not, will NOT draw fanart. Even if it's of something I enjoy, such as Neil Gaiman's works, A Song of Ice and Fire, Pirates of the Caribbean, etc. No.

I am currently only taking payment via Paypal; my account is fontenar@hotmail.com.

deviantID

Someday, I will re-plant some stranger's front yard in hydrangeas. I will arrange them in impressionist mosaics of pink and indigo and azure clouds across what used to be dying grass.

Hopefully, this stranger will not be allergic to hydrangeas.

 Hello random deviant!
Thanks for watching!

...wait, did I just type that out loud?
I love your style! It's nice to see a traditional artist once in awhile. :D

I'm Skyfire in the G1 Crew on DA

If you can read this, I somehow got out of the straightjacket!
Thank you! I agree with that - I don't know how fond I am of my own work but I love seeing other traditional artists'.

Behold the definition of cruel irony: the words "lisp," "dyslexic," and "hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia," and the name "attention deficit hyperactivity disorder."
Yeah, I feel traditional art is really unappreciated.
(Though most of the time I find it hard to upload traditional stuff to DA, so I think that's part of why it's so uncommon. If it's too big for a scanner bed, you have to take a good photo...)
